Rare Vintage Australian Formula 1 race staff jacket - Signed Peter Brock

This one of a kind item was recieved from a vendor who stated that it was signed at after Brock crashed in one of the events at the Grand Prix

The vendor stated they worked as staff across a couple of years of the Grand Prix in Adelaide and could not recall after which crash they had it signed.

The speedy signature style suggests Brock was in a hurry as the vendor stated after the crash

People rushed up to him asking for his autograph and I followed knowing my mother would appreciate his signature. He said in an exasperated tone "I've just crashed" but still kept signing. The vendor said that they felt ashamed asking after such a traumatic experience.

Brock crashed in a couple years of the Grand Prix event races and also had some DNFs but we can’t get any more information on this item unfortunately and there’s probably some footage out there to add further value.

The items brand Goodsports and other badges looks to be around 1986 along with browning and ageing of the material suggests it’s around that age. His larger crashes were in other years but unsure if other apparel was signed at the time and would love to know more if anyone out there can tell me.

We are happy to authenticate the rare - vintage jacket and signature but we would love to find out more to authenticate the story which may add some further value to any collectors out there.
